Incompreensível a teimosia de SANA de não informar sobre o rapto, e de Sputnik News de desmentir que essas 400 pessoas tenham sido raptadas. A chacina tem sido terrível, e prova que, desgraciadamente, o ISIS conta com forças para cometer crimes tão repugnantes em uma das cidades mais importantes da Síria.

Praticamente inquestionável ter havido um massacre de civis e forças pro-sírias levado a cabo por grupos terroristas. Número de mortos varia desde uma dezena até a algumas centenas. Quanto ao rapto, verosímil, mas não definitivo. Seria conveniente para esclarecer os contornos da chacina que surgissem fotografias e vídeos para corroborar os relatos. Como em qualquer cenário de guerra informações de tragédias desta magnitude devem ser tratadas com prudência. Nos próximos dias com o avolumar de dados espera-se que se possa ter uma imagem mais perto da realidade.

In two identical letters to the UN Secretary-General and the head of the UN Security Council, the Ministry said that “ISIS hordes attacked al-Bghailiye suburb on Saturday January 16th, breaking into houses and homes and murdering, slaughtering, and shooting innocent civilians, claiming the lives of more than 280 civilians, most of them women, children, and elderly people. In addition, the terrorist organizations abducted around 400 peaceful civilians from al-Bghailiye and transported them to other areas.”

The Ministry said that such crimes wouldn’t have happened without the constant funding, arming, and logistic support provided by intelligence agencies of certain states, particularly, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey, adding “in this regard, we underline the destructive role played by France whose diplomacy has become proficient in firing off nonsense which encourages the committing of terrorist acts by demonizing the forces that are actually fighting terrorism.”
