Chilean Navy's M-class frigate Almirante Blanco Encalada is one of two frigate to be upgraded with ADVENT CMS (Chilean Navy picture)

HAVELSAN has announced an agreement with the Chilean Navy to modernize two M-class (Karel Doorman) frigates with the ADVENT combat management system, signed on March 27, 2025.

Under this agreement, the ADVENT Combat Management System (CMS), renowned for its advanced command-and-control capabilities, will be provided for the modernization of two Frigates in the inventory of the Chilean Navy.

The project is scheduled to be completed within four years. ADVENT CMS will be fully integrated into both frigates during this period, ensuring seamless interoperability with the existing onboard systems and weapons.

Chile Becomes the 9th Country to Join the ADVENT Ecosystem
With this project, Chile becomes the 9th country to integrate the ADVENT Combat Management System into its naval platforms. First deployed on the Turkish Navy’s TCG KINALIADA corvette, ADVENT continues its journey across global waters, expanding its reach and attracting growing international interest.

About the ADVENT Combat Management System

ADVENT is an integrated combat management system designed to meet modern naval warfare requirements. Built on a network-centric operational concept and multi-force task architecture, ADVENT enables seamless coordination among naval platforms.

Developed in close collaboration with the Turkish Naval Forces Command, ADVENT holds the distinction of being the first combat management system specifically designed for the Turkish Navy.

The system encompasses all operational processes including threat evaluation, decision support, target detection, and weapon and sensor control, offering commanders enhanced situational awareness and operational effectiveness. With its user-friendly interfaces, high integration capacity, and indigenous software infrastructure, ADVENT delivers top-level performance in security, agility, and mission capability.

"Magalhães", o novo navio multipropósito chileno

Citar
