The 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army demonstrated the use of M114A1 field howitzers. The 155mm M114 howitzer was developed in the United States from 1939 to 1941. Ukraine received 70 howitzers from Greece and five from Portugal. Greece received its first howitzers in 1951 as part of US aid; they are currently in storage. The howitzer has a firing range of up to 14,600 meters.

Ukraine needs €135.7 billion for the next two years, — European Commission

 - Europe will have to find the money itself or take on joint debt if it fails to agree on the seizure of Russian assets.

 - The money needs to be found by April 2026.

 - Von der Leyen proposes 3 options:

➖Support for Ukraine financed by member states through grants
➖Limited recourse loan financed by EU borrowing on financial markets,
➖Loan linked to the remaining funds of frozen Russian assets.

 - Recall that Belgium, the main holder of the funds, Hungary, and Slovakia oppose the loan backed by Russian assets.
