eu vi ao vivo em Farnbough, tive entrada gratis gracas a empressa que trabalho,

e para notar que o A380 estava vazio (e com menos peso) e so por isso tao manobravel, acho que o mesmo pode-se pasar com o A400M,

nao deixa de ser impressionate.

espero que eles vendem bem para dar forca a nossa aeronautica..

Então mas Portugal já saiu do projecto A-400 M e saiu tanto como comprador, como fabricante, portanto podem vender n A-400 M que nem Portugal, nem qualquer empresa portuguesa beneficia com isso.

Como o Marques disse, o único projecto que Portugal iria beneficiar seria o KC-390.

Não estou a falar das contrapartidas, estou a falar do esquema apresentado pelo SantaCruz e do facto de o projecto inicial prever que Portugal fabricasse uma parte infima do A-400 M, mas uma parte infima de TODOS os A-400 M que se viessem a produzir.

August 2010 - Grizzlies Reaching 500 Flying Hours

The three prototypes of the A400M airlifter have logged over 500 flight hours in almost 150 flights since the aircraft’s maiden flight in December 2009. (Airbus Military photo)During the first week of August the Grizzlies reached 500 flying hours, comprising almost 150 flights since the first flight of MSN (Manufacturer’s Serial Number) 001 past 11 December 2009. MSN001 flew 80 times, MSN002 flew 56 and MSN003, with the first flight being held past 09 July, already flew 11 times.

During this time, the Grizzlies have participated with great success in the Berlin ILA Show (MSN001) and in Farnborough International Airshow (MSN002) where a formal naming ceremony was also held. The three first prototypes are in flight, with the forth aircraft being assembled in Seville, planning for its first flight at the end of the year.

The plan includes five prototypes for test activities. Two crews from Nations have already participated in test flights.

Some spectacular tests were held, as can be seen in the third picture, the aircraft making high-speed runs on a layer of chalk balls (in Francazal, France) used to simulate a rough surface in preparation for rough field trials planned for later this year to ensure that the aircraft and procedures are ready for the real rough fields.

Another important and spectacular test was made in Getafe with the MSN5000, which is the aircraft used for structural tests. The test was called the ultimate-load up-bend test for wings and was completed successfully.

First paratroops jump from Europe's A400M


Airbus Military has completed the first paratroop drop tests involving its A400M "Grizzly".

"Six freefall paratroopers made jumps from aircraft "Grizzly Three" in separate passes from 6,000ft [1,820m] at the Fonsorbes drop zone near Toulouse on 4 November," Airbus says.

The personnel were drawn from the UK and French armed forces, and from the latter's CEV flight test centre. Two jumped from the A400M's rear cargo ramp, and four from the aircraft's left-hand paratroop door.

Airbus says initial feedback received from the paratroops is that the A400M is "easier to jump from than other transports". The company cites the type's ability to fly at just 110kt (203km/h) during the drop procedure as a contributory factor.

Visible in the released image, the A400M's new side door deflectors were added to the development aircraft fleet after initial tests with the ramp and side doors open resulted in high noise levels and turbulence inside the cargo hold, says Fernando Alonso, Airbus Military's senior vice-president flight and integration test centre.

Conducted after initial tests using water-filled balloons and also followed by the release of instrumented dummies from static lines, the first paratroop jumps will lead to further trials scheduled to take place during 2011, Airbus says.

Each A400M will be able to carry up to 116 fully equipped paratroops once the delayed type enters operational service around 2013.

After reaching a new agreement in Toulouse last week, Airbus expects to sign a new production contract before year-end with its European launch customers Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, Turkey and the UK. The nations are now expected to take delivery of 170 production aircraft; 10 fewer than previously contracted for. Malaysia will also receive four examples under the company's lone export deal for the type.
