Prototype of the Russian helicopter Mi 26 T3, designed to break the helicopter speed record

Qual é a fonte dessa noticia?

Russia to renew production of Tu-160 "Blackjack" Strategic Bomber

Citar
Russia is to renew production of Tu-160 (Blackjack) supersonic strategic bomber and missile carrier, Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, said on Wednesday (...) Shoigu said that the Tu-160 is "a unique machine, ahead of its time for many years and even until now it has not been exploited to its full potential".(...)

According to the manufacturer of the Tu-160, Tupolev  JSC, the aircraft is the world's largest supersonic bomber jet, as well as the heaviest combat aircraft in the world. About 35 Tu-160 aircraft has been built .

In 2013, the Russian Defense Ministry signed a contract with the Tupolev design bureau and Kazan Aircraft Plant worth 3.4 billion roubles (some $66 million dollars at the current exchange rate) to upgrade three Tu-160 bombers

Not bad for an aircraft that entered  service in 1987, the last supersonic,  variable-sweep wing bomber of the Soviet era.

Citar
The Russian Air Force has grounded its fleet of MiG-29 'Fulcrum' fighters following the loss of an aircraft on 4 June.

The order comes after a two-seat MiG-29KUB operational trainer aircraft caught fire and exploded in mid-air over the Ashuluk air training range near the Caspian Sea. Both crew members were reported to have ejected safely.

The fleet will remain grounded pending the results of an official investigation.

Separately, but on the same day as the loss of the MiG, a Sukhoi Su-34 'Fullback' strike aircraft was damaged after it veered off the runway at Voronezh airport in western Russia.

Russia's Tu-160 bomber production plans 'not feasible'

The Tupolev-160 first flew in 1981. Just 16 examples were produced by the Soviet Union, but Moscow plans to restart the line and build another 50. Source: Tupolev.

http://www.janes.com/article/52184/russ ... t-feasible

Citar
Recent declarations by Russian officials regarding plans to re-start production of the Tupolev-160 strategic bomber, combined with various other announced procurement, are being met with scepticism by a number of experts. The two reasons most commonly cited for this are that Russian industry lacks the number of qualified personnel necessary to support so many procurements taking place simultaneously and that the funding available is nowhere close to what would be required. (...)

A commonly cited weakness of today's Russian defence sector is that the workforce is only a small fraction of its former, Russian-era size, with a commesurate drop in its capacity. Following a soon-to-be-completed round of reductions within the Russian defence sector, the numbers of personnel to be left at some of the most critical design bureaus is estimated at being less than 10% of their apex in the 1980s
