de acordo com várias fontes,Marrocos está actualmente a negociar a compra de pelo menos uma segunda fragata FREMM.

Sea acceptance trials of the first Multi Mission Frigate for the Royal Moroccan Navy

The 105 mtrs long SIGMA class frigate, built by Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding for the Royal Moroccan Navy, left Vlissingen on the 6th of May for her sea acceptance trials in the North Sea, right on schedule as agreed in the contract.

 

During the SAT, an extensive program will be carried out in which the platform as well as the sensor weapons and communications suite will be tested.

 

The second frigate of 98 mtrs is scheduled for sea trials at the end of 2011 as the third frigate, also 98 mtrs, is still under construction at the Damen yard in Vlissingen, to be launched in September this year.

 

SIGMA

The three SIGMA-class frigates for the Royal Moroccan Navy have been designed according to Schelde Naval Shipbuilding's revolutionary SIGMA-approach and are a further development of the SIGMA-corvettes for the Indonesian Navy. The SIGMA approach applies modularity in many areas.

 

The Moroccan SIGMA Class frigates equipped to conduct the traditional naval tasks as well as maritime security operations. The vessels are also suited to support humanitarian aid operations.

Dentro de muito pouco tempo só mesmo os nossos submarinos para fazer a diferença entre a Real Marinha de Marrocos e a nossa Marinha de Guerra.

Que futuro???

On 10 March 2012, after successful sea trials and finishing of outfitting details, SIGMA Class Frigate, Sultan Moulay Ismail, built by Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNS) in Vlissingen, was transferred to the Royal Moroccan Navy. The ship was delivered, on schedule and meeting all the requirements as stated in the contract, to the full satisfaction of the customer.

The delivery of the second of three frigates was achieved within four years from the effective date of contract. The first frigate Tarik Ben Zayid was commissioned on 10 September 2011, the third frigate for the Royal Moroccan Navy is well underway.

After commissioning, the crew will continue with another three weeks of Sail Safety Training in Den Helder and North Sea. This training will be conducted by training teams of the Royal Netherlands Navy.
At the beginning of April, after conclusion of this training period, frigate Sultan Moulay Ismail will start her maiden voyage to Morocco.

The Damen Shipyards Group offers a complete range of naval and patrol vessels ranging from 7 to over 200 meters. Part of this portfolio are the Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNS) naval combatants and auxiliaries, embodied by the SIGMA and ENFORCER series.

At present DSNS also has under construction for the Royal Netherlands Navy: four Patrol Ships and a Joint Logistic Support Ship (JSS), the largest military vessel built by DSNS so far.

Damen Shipyards Group (est. 1927) is a globally operating company with 37 owned shipyards and numerous partner yards. Damen employs over 6,000 people, has built over 5,000 vessels worldwide and delivers up to 150 vessels annually.

During the SAT, an intensive program was carried out in which the platform as well as the sensor weapons and communications suite were extensively tested, to the full satisfaction of the Royal Moroccan Navy.

The tests were performed by representatives of the yard in close cooperation with representatives of the subcontractors, the Royal Moroccan Navy and the Royal Netherlands Navy.

The first SIGMA frigate was transferred to the Royal Moroccan Navy on 10 September 2011, the second on 10 March 2012. The third frigate is scheduled to be transferred in September 2012.

Alfeite garante reparação de quatro navios da Marinha de Marrocos em 2014


O Arsenal do Alfeite (AA) vai reparar, nos próximos meses, quatro navios da Marinha Real de Marrocos, estimando a administração que a empresa apresente resultados operacionais positivos este ano. De acordo com fonte da administração do AA, o navio patrulha "El Lahiq" - o primeiro destes quatro -, chegou esta segunda-feira às docas da empresa, sendo o terceiro daquela Marinha ali reparado desde 2012.

"Nos próximos meses está confirmada a reparação de mais três navios. Com estas reparações o Arsenal do Alfeite S.A. terá resultados operacionais positivos em 2014", disse hoje à Lusa a mesma fonte.

Segundo o último relatório e contas daquela empresa, uma das que integram o sector da construção e reparação naval público, o AA registou resultados operacionais negativos, de 5,4 milhões de euros, em 2012.

Os montantes das reparações contratadas não foram revelados, mas o patrulha "El Lahiq", com cerca de 60 metros, é já o terceiro navio daquela Armada que dá entrada no Alfeite, nos últimos meses.

No final de 2012 foi ali reparado o navio de apoio logístico "Dahkla" e em Setembro passado seguiu-se a fragata "Hassan II". Este último, de 93 metros de comprimento, foi mesmo o primeiro navio combatente estrangeiro reparado por aqueles estaleiros.

Fonte do Ministério da Defesa Nacional, que através da Empresa Pública de Defesa (Empordef) tutela aqueles estaleiros públicos, sublinhou hoje que a Marinha de Marrocos tornou-se no "primeiro cliente internacional" do Alfeite.

"Isto decorre da estratégia deste Governo e da administração da Empordef na captação de outros clientes para o Arsenal do Alfeite, que não a Marinha portuguesa. Estas reparações resultam, de resto, das visitas de trabalho que o Ministro da Defesa e a administração da Empordef realizaram a Marrocos nos últimos dois anos", disse a mesma fonte.

A administração do AA tinha já admitido, em 2013, que com estas encomendas tenta arranjar "alternativas aos serviços de reparação naval e manutenção", para reduzir a dependência das encomendas da Marinha portuguesa, que têm vindo a diminuir nos últimos anos.
