People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
George Orwell

Citar
...Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
Frank Herbert

Citar
History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.
Sir Winston Churchill

Citar
For myself I am an optimist - it does not seem to be much use being anything else.
Sir Winston Churchill

Citar
The shaft of the arrow had been feathered with one of the eagle's own plumes. We often give our enemies the means of our own destruction.
Aesop

Citar
Training should be geared toward the motivated sociopath. Period. Those who choose to comply - will. Those who don't...will test your mettle. The truth is the training. You can't fake endurance. You can't buy confidence. You can't buy experience. When preparation meets reality, you'll get your experience.
Stay safe. Train with integrity...it's your duty; it's your call.
Tony Blauer

Citar
It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
General George S. Patton

Citar
All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dream with open eyes, to make it possible.
Sete Pilares da Sabedoria, Lawrence of Arabia

Citar
Of every 100 men in battle 10 shouldn’t even be there, 80 are nothing but targets, 9 are real fighters and we are lucky to have them as they the battle make. Ah, but ONE of them is a WARRIOR and he will bring the others home.
Hericletus – 500 AC

Citar
Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once.
Júlio César

Citar
Men at some times are masters of their fates; the fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves, that we are underlings.
Júlio César

Citar
Sure I am this day we are masters of our fate, that the task which has been set before us is not above our strength; that its pangs and toils are not beyond our endurance. As long as we have faith in our own cause and an unconquerable will to win, victory will not be denied us.
Sir Winston Churchill

Citar
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill

Citar
You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.
Winston Churchill

Citar
I am prepared to meet my maker. Whether my maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter.
(Winston Churchill, on the eve of his 75th birthday)

As minhas preferidas:

Citar
We are not the prom kings or the most likely to succeed. We are not the football heros or the state champions. We are soldiers, the overlooked the people from the gray area, the best friends, the ones willing to put their life on the line for their country.

Citar
Iron is full of impurities that weaken it; through forging, it becomes steel and is transformed into a razor-sharp sword. Human beings develop in the same fashion.
Morihei Ueshiba

Citar
It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag.

"[...]We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day."

"Henry V", W. Shakespeare

Citação de: "Machiavelli"
Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage.

Citação de: "Machiavelli"
Men ought either to be indulged or utterly destroyed, for if you merely offend them they take vengeance, but if you injure them greatly they are unable to retaliate, so that the injury done to a man ought to be such that vengeance cannot be feared.

Citação de: "Miyamoto Musashi"
“In fighting and in everyday life you should be determined though calm. Meet the situation without tenseness yet not recklessly, your spirit settled yet unbiased. An elevated spirit is weak and a low spirit is weak. Do not let the enemy see your spirit.”

Citação de: "Miyamoto Musashi"
You win battles by knowing the enemy's timing, and using a timing which the enemy does not expect.

Citação de: "Miyamoto Musashi"
Aspire to be like Mt. Fuji, with such a broad and solid foundation that the strongest earthquake cannot move you, and so tall that the greatest enterprises of common men seem insignificant from your lofty perspective. With your mind as high as Mt Fuji you can see all things clearly. And you can see all the forces that shape events; not just the things happening near to you.

Citação de: "Masaaki Hatsumi"
True victory relies not upon you, but upon your enemy. Thus, victory comes naturally to you. You have only to wait for it to happen. Do not search for victory, or search gain, allow it to happen naturally.

Citação de: "Masaaki Hatsumi"
Training greatly effects the molding of character. By making it a custom to train correctly, a person can change his personality and integrity. I hope every one of you becomes a person who can see their lives illuminated by the light of training. Consequently, know that the most dangerous way of thinking is to pretend you know everything. If you do not know something, it is okay. It is important to know that you do not know.

Citação de: "Massaki Hatsumi"
To fight against an opponent is not the highest achievement of the martial arts. Likewise, those who have won many competitions are not necessarily the greatest martial artists. A sincere martial artist has to keep training, be steadfast to changes that occur or the passage of time, and live with an eagerness for budo as his base.

Citação de: "Ayn Rand"
A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.

Citação de: "Ayn Rand"
Every man builds his world in his own image. He has the power to choose, but no power to escape the necessity of choice.

Citação de: "Ayn Rand"
It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.

Citação de: "Sun Tzu"
The art of using troops is this:
......When ten to the enemy's one, surround him;
......When five times his strength, attack him;
......If double his strength, divide him;
......If equally matched you may engage him;
......If weaker numerically, be capable of withdrawing;
......And if in all respects unequal, be capable of eluding him,
..........for a small force is but booty for one more powerful.

Citação de: "Sun Tzu"
If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.

Citação de: "Sun Tzu"
Military tactics are like unto water; for water in its natural course runs away from high places and hastens downwards... Water shapes its course according to the nature of the ground over which it flows; the soldier works out his victory in relation to the foe whom he is facing. Therefore, just as water retains no constant shape, so in warfare there are no constant conditions. He who can modify his tactics in relation to his opponent and thereby succeed in winning, may be called a heaven-born captain.

Citação de: "Sun Tzu"
To capture the enemy's entire army is better than to destroy it; to take intact a regiment, a company, or a squad is better than to destroy them. For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the supreme of excellence. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the supreme excellence.

Understand? Good! Play!

Viva a morte, viva a guerra,! viva o maldito mercenário!

Odeio o luxo e exercito a moderação.

Liderem-me, sigam-me, ou saiam do meu caminho.

Citação de: "Friedrich Nietzsche"
Ah mulheres!

brilha a direito, ofusca as demais

A vida é sempre a perder

A vida é sempre a perder

Do fundo horizonte,
sopra uma murmurio para onde vai
Do fundo do tempo,

A vida é sempre a perder
