Boa Tarde a todos,
Algo de interessante que vi na Janes:
Future soldier on trial
Darren Lake
According to officials, Finmeccanica company Selex Communications (Stand H32) is poised to move forward with the Italian Army’s Soldato Futuro, with a squad-level trial of the system scheduled for the end of July. The company is hopeful that a successful trial will lead to a rapid progression of the project.
As with the majority of soldier modernisation programmes, the main aim of Soldato Futuro is integration of the individual soldier into the network-centric battlefield and Selex is working closely with the Italian armed forces. A number of systems are being proposed for the Italian programme.
A major component of the project is Selex Communications’ Personal Role Radio (PRR). The radio is a further developed version of the PRR that was delivered to the British Army by Selex’s previous incarnation, Marconi-Selenia Communications. Section commanders will receive a personal data assistant and Soldato Futuro is also set to include biometric sensors measuring heart rate and stress levels.
Finmeccancia’s ambition is to market the Italian solution to other NATO members, in particular those smaller nations without the resources to pursue their own soldier modernisation project. Among the countries being targeted by the Italian company are Bulgaria and Slovenia. Jane's Eurosatory News Briefs Day Two - 13 June 2006
Acho o último parágrafo interessante, Portugal tem algo semelhante ou como sempre espera para ser o último? Neste caso seríamos possivelmente ultrapassados pela Bulgária e Eslovénia
Agora toca a ver Portugal jogar.
