Na Revista "Aircraft Illustrated" do mes de Fevereiro de 2006, vem um artigo sobre o ultimo cruseiro dos "Sea Harriers" da Royal Navy:
Excerto da parte dos F16:
" The Sea Harrier remains a formidable performer in the air-to-air role and every opportunity is taken to meet other types and engage in Dissimilai Air Combat Training (DACT). While Illustrious was heading south off the coast of Portugal, 801 got to fly against the AMRAAM-equiped F-16s of the Portuguese AF, emerging from the encounters with the most satisfactory outcome. Or, as one pilot put it, "We whacked Them". Once again, the combination of pilot skill , the Sea Harriers agility and small size and the superb integrationof the track-while-scan Blue Vixen radar with AIM-120 AMRAAM, proved the type's effectiveness against opposition that, on paper at least, had all the advantages."
