Patria Receives an Important Sea Mine Order

Patria and the Finnish Navy have signed a contract for delivery of the Sea Mine 2000. The contract includes, in addition to the mines, also substantial training equipment as well as maintenance and support systems delivered in 2004-2008. The total value of the purchase is several million euros.
The Sea Mine 2000 is an intelligent naval influence mine. The Sea Mine 2000 is designed and will be manufactured in Finland. The content of domestic components is very high. The new mines will modernise and increase Finnish Navy’s minewarfare capabilities.
This contract is continuation of the successful Advanced Sea Mine development program, including research and development, product definition and prototype phases.
Patria acts as a prime contractor with Finnish subcontractors, such as Aspocomp Oy, Forcit Oy, Patria Weapon Systems and Sinex Oy.
